Alfredo Scappatici aka STAKEKNIFE spirited out of belfast

told you so..... | 11.05.2003 20:59

Alfredo Scappatici is the Brit army FRU agent stakeknife who penetrated the IRA GCHQ, according to the Sunday People, Sunday Mirror and other newspapers today. Alfredo was snatched from his home in the early hours of friday morning by his colleagues in the Brit army Force research unit L branch and whisked away to safety out of Northern Ireland after speculation by journalists and others pinpointed his identity.

Alfredo Scappatici was a senior member of the IRA and the leader of a ruthless IRA assasination squad head of the IRA's internal security unit charged with interrogating and murdering alledged security force informants, but Alfredo Scappatici led a double life as he was also top brit army FRU agent Stakeknife, 'the jewel in brit intelligence services crown' supplying brit army intelligence with info about the IRA's mainland and european activities. Alfredo Scappatici probably not his real name, volunteered to join the brit army in his teens. Now in his mid 40's, he would have joined the brit army in the early 1970's, probably trained in mainland britain with other brit squaddies. Was Stakeknife involved in the abduction, interrogation and murder of former protestant mother of 10 Jean McConville?, it is possible that the dying brit squaddie, Jean McConville attended to in the middle of Divis republican heartland recognised Stakeknife amongst the local crowd?. Who knows the answer to this question, but what we do know, is that stakeknife as IRA man Alfredo Scappatici was involved in the targeting, sadistic interrogation and murder of others whom he wrongly or rightly suspected of being security force informants for over 25 years. Former FRU colleagues of Stakeknife believe he oversaw the interrogation and execution of other FRU agents such as Gregory Burns, Aidan Starrs and John Dignam in june 1982. John Stevens revealed that FRU were able to steer murder gangs from the UDA and IRA away from their prize agent Stakeknife by shifting suspicion onto other innocent victims. Scappatici was paid £60,000 a year by the brit army, with innocent civillians and also other FRU agents being sacrificed to protect his identity.
A group of about 11 ex brit army agents who also led double lives taking part in bombings and shootings so as to not blow their covers as brit army spies are campaigning to win acknowledgement for their work as brit army spies and compensation from their MOD employers. The group feels the MOD has abandoned them, using and abusing them, then spitting them out. Their spokesperson Willie Carlin said they had been left out in the cold by the MOD and all fear for their lives. FRU agent Kevin Fulton who alerted his Special branch handlers about the Omagh bomb is said to be 'furious',that 'Scappatici/stakeknife was spirited away by his MOD employers without hesitation but we are left to look after ourselves'. Kevin Fulton said 'we can't work, we can't stay in one place too long and we all have to hide ourselves without help from the MOD'. The group must have known that in such hierarchial establishment as the brit military, there would also be a hierarchy of agents, some of whom the brit army valued/prized whilst others of whom the brit army thought of as disposable, just as unwitting innocent civillians caught up in this nightmare scenario were disposed of without a thought. It seems in the murky world of the brit army's dirty war, all is far from fair in love and war.
