Don’t Rip the Roadmap

avvv | 30.04.2003 16:15

The roadmap is the best and the only way to revive the peace process and stop the current war. It is vital to implement it and to not complaints of both sides.

I go to pro-Israeli propaganda websites and I see flaming against the roadmap. I go to the Palestinian propaganda sites and see the same. Fanatics from both sides have launched the attack against the roadmap.

The excuses vary, from “it won’t work” to “we give, but don’t get anything”. However the plan will give both sides their immediate needs: Israel will get end to the violence against it, and a friendly Palestinian government, while the Palestinians will get freezing of the settlements, IDF withdrawals and a promise of a state, a promise they can actually believe in.

The map is the best chance to peace. In order for it to work both sides must truly accept it and act according to it. The Americans and Europeans must also put strong pressure on both the Israelis and the Palestinians and make them fulfill it.

The roadmap is exactly what this region needs, and fanatics and demagogues must not be allowed to bury this initiative, so that the Israeli and the Palestinian people will enjoy it. It is about time. There is no better or more realistic plan.

Justice

Whatever ..........just as there is only one truth.
All the roadmap should offer if justice and fairness to both sides.
I could only begin to accept it as fair if it was agreed to by the UN.

promises you say ...

... only a fool would rely on the promises of an israeli government.

Even if this road map started off as an even handed attempt at justice and mediation (which it certainly isn't) how long before israeli 'negotiation' evisirated it? With the proposal 'up for discussion' israeli will take every opportunity to make 'a reality on the ground' as they tactfully called a naked land grab the last time it looked as if a negotiated settlement might occur[sic]. Even as we speak the israeli government is planning to build another 'security' wall that will enclose, encircle and depleate the shrinking landmass of this 'viable Palestinian state'[sic].

All entry will be dictated by israel.

All exit will be dictated by israel.

All commerce will have to be approved by israel.

All policy will have to 'conform' to israeli 'security worries'.

Getting the picture?

A fanatical 'blood and land' based philosophy that allows for the full expression of their Kol-nadir ... no bond, agreement, contract, covanant or vow has to be honoured outside the covanant with their sky ghost. It is permitted by certain Rabbinical 'strains' to abuse and to cheat on the goyim and other animals .. in some it is expected.

True negotion will only take place when both parties are on an EQUAL footing.

That will take place when and if the international community [political] take responsibility for the plight of the Palestinian people they have allowed to be abused for 50 years.

OR

When a pan arabic military movement or social movement becomes strong enough to fight and resist this amerikan/british military client/master?!?
