"For the second time this week, U.S. soldiers fired on anti-American protesters Wednesday in the city of Fallujah" - the same town wheere the Liberators (TM) killed 13 on Monday night

"The crowd stopped in front of a battalion headquarters of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division - a former office of Hussein's Baath Party - and soldiers opened fire after some protesters started throwing rocks and shoes.

Fallujah mayor Taha Bedaiwi al-Alwani Medical said two people were killed and 14 wounded."

More examples of freedom and liberty?

30.04.2003 12:48

This is an example of the so called liberty and freedom Americans are bringing to long suffering Iraqis. It appears Iraqis don't even have the right to peaceful protest, without getting shot dead, by trigger happy GIs. Looks like it could be a regieme change for the worst, with Iraqis still not able to speak out, without getting slaughtered by gun totting goons. Iraqis were protesting about a local school being closed, they want the school reopened so that their children can experience some normalisation of life, and get back into their old routines. Children need their education, they don't want to end up as multinaional sweat shop slaves.

We´re here to lend a helping hand

It all reminds me of a Billy Bragg song:
"...They all want what we want but they don't know it yet/ ...The locals may scream and shout but we don't let that upset us/We're here to lend a helping hand in case they don't elect us/
WE'RE MAKING THE WORLD SAFE FOR CAPITALISM!"
