An anti-war protester doused Labour party chairman and MP for Wigan, Ian McCartney on his visit to Bolton on Wednesday 23rd April. McCartney was in Bolton to support Labour in the local elections. The protester shouted 'Wash the blood off your hands with that' as he threw a bucket of water over the pro-war MP. The protester escaped without being arrested. McCartney first exclaimed that in Baghdad the protester would have been shot. He went on to play down the effect that the war with Iraq will have on polling day. We must ensure that he is wrong. Support your anti-war councillor in these elections.
