Proposed Mayday polling station Campaign

Lets make the most of the local council elections on Mayday. Anarchist Proposal for a mass poster\flier\leaflet\campaign campaign.

No one could've failed to notice that the local elections fall on an important day: Mayday. After being saturated for a month by bullshit candidate impropaganda, its high time we embark on some mass campaigning of our own. On mayday we should consider all local polling stations as targets and make our presence felt. Lets do our best to disillusion those who still believe that we are living in a 'just democracy', and present them with alternatives they probably never considered. This could include fliers, leaflets, graffiti ; whatever, be creative.

One idea I had for a simple poster (but probably wont have the time or software to make) is this: A picture of the 'throw your litter away' guy in the center, with the words "Throw Your Vote Away" at the top, and the words "Vote For Anarchy" at the bottom. This could be stuck on ,or near, bins outside polling stations.
Like I say, I don't really have the resources, but it would be cool if someone else could make it and then post it up on here to be distributed over the internet and printed up ready for Mayday.

Anyways, just some ideas I wanted to throw out there. See you on mayday!

don't really think anyone has the resources for this at the mo, people's time's being spent on the mayday celebrations, and it's far more important to spend time building up long-term networks of solidarity and mutual aid in communities, to eventually replace local government, than on publicity stunts...

Although it would be great if theree was a big happening everywhere on Mayday, there wont be. Theres no local elections in London, so elections do not have to be thought about, and as always I hope, there will be big turnouts. If nothings happening or you cant get something together with others, why not the polling stations. Yes, there are many diffrent things going on, but unfotunately for many diffrent reasons it is not possible for some, to attend or organise. Information can also be handed out at the same time. How the coucillors, MP's reacted or didn't. There are many other print outs you can get, for information to be passed on.

Don't vote... Nazi

There is a problem with not voting - with over 200 BNP council candidates, they have a chance to gain more seats if people don't bother voting against them. And as much as you might hate the other parties, any of them is better than the BNP gaining - they are facist scum. The collapse in moral of Labour activists doesn't help things - so anyone who is in a ward where the BNP is standing has a duty to campaign against them and to vote against them.

I'm not being blackmailed into voting for anyone just because the BNP might gain, I take my voting too serious for that. I will be spoiling my two ballot papers, which I presume keeps the BNP percentage down anyway. There's no way I'm giving a vote to the options I have, Tory, Labour, Lib Dem.
