The Big Noise to Wake Up Nestle

On Saturday 10th May campaigners will gather at Nestle sites across the UK to make a big noise to wake up Nestle management. Every 30 seconds a child dies somewhere in the world because it was not breastfed - Nestle thinks it can ignore this tragedy so campaigners will mark each death with drums, cymbals etc. during the hour-long demonstrations.
On Saturday 10th May campaigners will be making 'a big noise to wake up Nestlé' at Nestlé sites around the UK from 11.00 - mid-day. Nestlé is the target of an international boycott because of its irresponsible and aggressive marketing of breastmilk substitutes. Every 30 seconds a baby dies somewhere in the world because it was not breastfed - a tragedy Nestlé management thinks it can ignore as it continues to pursue increased sales of breastmilk substitutes using methods prohibited by international marketing standards. Go along to the nearest demonstration site and make a noise (take drums, cymbals etc.) to mark each needless death. See http://www.babymilkaction.org/ for more details and a sign-up form. The following week is National Breastfeeding Week in the UK. On 17th May campaigners will gather at Nestlé (UK) HQ in Croydon and attempt to deliver a shaming award from Ethical Consumer Magazine. A survey by the magazine found Nestlé is viewed as the UK's 'least ethical company'.
