War Without End

If anyone was still under the illusion that the UK is a democracy, the government’s response to the majority who opposed this immoral war, should have been a wake-up call.

The Cabinet completely ignored overwhelming public opinion and then demanded we support our troops as they committed war crimes in our name. There were so few legitimate targets in Iraq that the USAF had to resort to shooting down the RAF. More soldiers died from ‘friendly fire’ than by enemy fire... with friends like these, who needs enemies? The Pentagon had trouble tracking down the Republican Guard but no problem picking off journalists. One wonders if BBC correspondent, John Simpson wasn’t the actual target in the “accident” which obliterated a US/Kurdish convoy.

Robin Cook’s token resignation in indignation that the UN’s authority was superseded placed him in the ‘anti-war’ camp from which he called for “a new order based on the rule of law.” That is, US military rule imposed after the ensuing chaos. The staged wrangling between ‘pro’ and ‘anti-war’ countries served to undermine the credibility of the UN as an effective international body for maintaining world peace (at gunpoint.) This criminal organisation has now been reduced to the status of an aid agency, offering humanitarian assistance (poisonous vaccines) after the destruction and carnage of the wars which provide lucrative reconstruction deals for multinational corporations.

With the UN portrayed as a vapid talking shop, we will require decisive governance that will be prepared to pre-empt ‘terrorism’ and not balk at dealing with ‘rogue states’ identified by Ariel Sharon. A global dictatorship should fit the bill, with a world army at its disposal to disarm all potential opposition and crush dissent in every quarter. Iraq will soon be swept under a tattered Afghan rug as we are manoeuvred into the next crisis using the same psychological tactics, but there is no bogey-man to hate in Syria, so the threats are being made to “Syrians” collectively, and we will probably be just as incapable of preventing this bloodbath too...
