Protest against BP 10am Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London

London Rising Tide invites you to be part of the

Carnival Against Oil Wars and Climate Chaos.

Be Positive - say no to BP's Burning Planet

BP's Annual General Meeting

10am, April 24th, Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London.

It's really important to be there at 10am!

This breathtaking mass action, surrounding BP's AGM, will say 'Yes' to
Social and Ecological Justice, and 'No' to Big Oil, War, Capitalism and
Climate Chaos.

We need to come together in great numbers to challenge and stop the
institutions that do us nothing but harm, showing a total disregard for the
planet that they will leave to subsequent generations.

Why BP's AGM?

BP is currently pushing for a big slice of the Iraqi oil pie - no to
Bloody Politics!

BP plans to build an enormous oil pipeline from the Caspian Sea to the
Turkish coast. This will trigger human rights abuses, militarisation and
seriously intensify global climate change - no to a Burnt Planet!

BP's pipelines in Colombia, Tibet, Alaska and West Papua etc. are causing
destruction, murder and destitution - no to British Plunder!

... and let's face it, BP's greenwashed claim to be 'Beyond Petroleum' is
nothing but Bullshit Propaganda.

We belive that real, equitable and lasting solutions to global climate
change will come not from politicians or institutions like the UN, but from
the grassroots.

So let's gather together on this 'International Day of Action', and stop BP
organising for the next steps of its suicidal blueprint for our Burning
Planet.

After all, there's only one thing better than walking your talk, and that's
dancing it.

Come down to the river and play.

For more details, check out the website at www.burningplanet.net

or e-mail us at  london@risingtide.org.uk

(We can send you some leflets if you e-mail us your postal address.)

There will also be a 'Critical Mass' bike ride, starting at 9.30am, from BP
H.Q. (1 St. James Square, SW1) to the Royal Festival Hall. So if you've got
a bike or skateboard, start the festivities with an unhurried voyage through
the centre of London.

SEE YOU ON APRIL 24TH

(Oh and please remember to distribute this as widely as possible, the more
the merrier, ta.)
