No War Demo 12 Feb

The BBC predicted a flop and the police ridiculously first estimated 6,000 then later 20,000. The true figure was around 150,000. It was a lively, colourful, noisy march representing a true cross-section of society. The 3 marches this year have been fantastic, sending a clear message around the world and to Blair and co that this slaughter is not in our name and that 'liberation = occupation'. We saw the biggest demo in British history when 2 million marched on Feb 15 and the biggest last month during war. No weapons of mass destruction have been found and any idea that this was a 'humanitarian war' is a sick joke. Thousands have been killed and injured and Iraq now faces devastation due to lack of food and water, medicines and functioning hospitals.
