Look at the picture. Tom's eyes are still open in a coma (brain-dead) state. Look at A. my friend. Look at the agony in her eyes. After Rachel was murdered, another friend, a Brit, murdered by Sharon and doubtless some IDF conscript, just like Carlo.

Damn. Alice, the UK street medic seen here with Tom - is the same medic who tried desperately to save the life of Rachel Currie after she was crushed by an Israeli Catepillar tractor in Gaza. We'd encourage one and all to contact the ISM to offer not only condolences for Tom's brutal murder at the hands of the IOF, but offer support and solidarity. for this courageous young woman who has had to deal with more anguish and pain in two months than most will see in a lifetime ..and still continues to provide care for her comrades, and for the Palestinian people under occupation.

I still cant help crying in agony at what has happened to Tom and all the other brave ISM volunteers- besides the horror of what the Palestinians have/are enduring.I rage against US sponsored terrorism and pray for all those who have suffered and continue to do so under such a brutal and rascist regime- A CURSE on Ariel Sharon and his consorts!

Sympathy and solidarity

This terrible attack is horrific. I'd like to not only offer my sympathy to Thomas and his friends/family but also echo the sentiments of support for Alice. She is an amazing activist a real example to us all, I was lucky enough to meet her at various actions in South London over the last few years and anyone who can continue to do the amazing work she does after all she has been through deserves our love and upmost respect.

ISM - supporters of terror

If the ISM didn't harbour terrorists and facilitate their crimes Corrie would be alive and Hurndall wouldn't be in a coma. The ISM has been compromised by terrorists who love nothing more than endangering volunteers so the resulting pictures of dead priviledged white kids can be spread over the newswires.

so what are you saying? that the three kids that tom was trying to remove from the line of fire of an israeli sniper were terrorists. what do you know about the ism? they are a group have explicitly disavowed armed conflict, their stated aim is to seek non-violent means of rapprochement between israelis and palestinians. in their view the root of the conflict lies in the long running military occupation of the west bank and the gaza strip and that the occupation does little for the security of israeli's, but rather encourages guerrilla style military responses. ism actions are principally designed to challenge the military occupation by physically obstructing the israeli army when carrying out criminal acts (such as bulldozing family homes as a means of collective punishment, or shooting children in cold blood). at no time have the ism stated or been found to 'harbour terrorists' and you provide no evidence to back up your cheap smear. the israeli army has already been forced to withdraw a similar statement to yours quite recently. when your comments are ill-judged - the misinformed product of crude israeli propaganda.

It is unbelievable that at a time like this some idiot, I mean Opus64, is trying to come up with this kind of propaganda attempts against people who are willing to risk their lives to protect innocent women and children from being slaughtered by what is in effect a government as bad as the apartheid government in South Africa. Show some humanity, show some respect. Nobody here will believe your bullshit so just leave it ok and let people grief.

From articles on indymedia it's obvious even pro-palestinian users are concerned about what's happening with the ISM. By propaganda you seem to mean "whatever conflicts with my opinion". The fascistic zeal of a minority of blindly militant pro-palestinians on this site is something that needs to be challenged. I mean no disrespect to Rachel Corrie or Thomas Hurndall - I have the deepest respect for their commitment - but there are unanswered questions regarding the ISM which demand answers.
