April 10th saw 7 B-52's depart from Fairford armed with a mix of JDAM, dumb free fall bombs and CLUSTER BOMBS. There look to be hundreds of cluster bombs at Fairford waiting to be loaded. There is continual activity unpacking, arming and loading cluster bombs. Last three days has seen 8, 5 and 7 B-52s depart. There have been 2 since midnight today
(11th April - it's now 10.30am). Fairford has never been busier.

In addition two new munitions convoys arrived from Welford on 10th - one at 10am approx and the second at 4pm after being intercepted and stopped for half and hour by a small autonomous group of protestors.

This first image shows 8 cluster bombs loaded onto trolleys waiting to be moved across the public highway and into the airbase. In the background are lots of silver and green metal cases that contain at least 2 cluster bombs each. It is likely these are in turn carried in the containers that arrive from Welford.

These other images show the unpacking of cluster bombs within the bombs store at USAF Fairford. The carriers crossing the road are not the same as the one in the loading picture. I suspect they are actually carrying JDAM. We
were stopped and searched by police preventing us following the cluster bombs as they moved from bomb store to airfield... I did protest they were interfearing with a weapons inspector in the course of his public duty but they searched me all the same (for the third time yesterday) apparently for my own safety.

(Just heared another convoy (10.30am 11th Apr) moving up A419 - 6 more trucks which is likely another 12 containers of munitions. This is the 3rd convoy in two days.)
