As a citizen of the world I applaud my brothers and sisters in Barcelona. As a resident of the United States, I wish we had such backbone. Our protests are feeble, vocalizing our dismay not our outrage. Not one demonstration, but daily demonstrations coupled with massive civl disobedience will be required to restore democraticization processes in the United States.

i've just got home from visiting friends in sevilla. there weren't any major protests that i saw but just walking round the city so many balconies had home made 'no a la guerra' banners on them. why don't people in britain put up similar signs in their windows?
