The alienation from regime by the Shi-ites is undoubtedly genuine, but I bet there were a few dollars floating round too for this stunt

I wonder how many cynical CIA/Special forces dollars were handed out to the people for this stunt?

I hate to agree with Robin ;-) but this is daft. Many/most Iraqi people will celebrate the end of the Ba'ath regime; I would!

It doesn't make the invasion right, it doesn't make the deaths right, it doesn't make us wrong.
