Body drag along road to protest at war

Brian Haw or Westminster - hunger striker and peace ativist

Today a man is dragging himself on his back for 3 miles between Horseferry Road and the Houses of Parliament. Brain Haw says that he expects bruising, golf-ball blisters and bleeding, but is making this protest as a statement against the war, and to highlight that the British public are not comfortable taking this lying down.
Brian has held a vigil in Parliament Sq since June 2001, and has supporters and fans all round the world. He has seen military service and is now a full time protestor against the war. He has been on hunger strike since it started, which makes it even more amazing that he is undertaking this physically challenging marathon. Brian has done as much as anyone peacefully can to demonstrate that he is against this unjust war, and although few may have his courage and stamina, do not be in any doubt, Mr Blair, that a majority of British citizens feel similarly outraged.
The drag will take approximately 8 hours, and started at 10am, with an anticipated conclusion outside the Houses of Parliament at 6pm tonight. Brain Haw is a modern day martyr for a common cause.
