SIX women stripped naked at a protest against the invasion of Iraq outside Britain's military headquarters in Northwood on Sunday, April 6.

The nude demonstration occurred halfway through a protest by 170 people at the Permanent Joint Headquarters of the British Armed Forces in Sandy Lane.

Earlier in the day, five people four men and one woman were arrested at the protest for obstructing the highway and were held in custody at Watford police station.

They are due to appear at Watford Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 10.

Anti-war group, Voices in the Wilderness UK, which organised the event, said the display was demonstrating against "naked aggression" by British and United States forces in Iraq.

"The protest group was being detained unlawfully and they were basically drawing attention to the fact that this was a peaceful demonstration," a spokesman said.

I think the reason why they got naked was because they
were being detained by the police who was suspecting
some damage might be caused. So they undressed and asked
to leave as is, showing that they obviously had nothing
they could cause violence/damage with. But the police
didn't let them leave.
