PEOPLE COUNTER: attention Stop the War Coalition

Stop the War Coalition needs to mount a 'people counter' at Hyde Park which is equivalent to the one used by the Countryside alliance. The numbers on our demonstrations have consistently been undercounted by hundreds of thousands.
It is absolutely essential that Stop the War coalition sets up a people-counter at either Piccadilly or Hyde Park for Saturday's demonstration.
The demonstration of March 22 which I believe was in the range of 800,000 people was reported by the press as 200,000 and in some cases as 40,000.
I am getting really angry that STWC expects people to spend 20-40 pounds coming to London for a demonstration, and it doesn't make sure that their act of witness is recorded.
