bbc ignoring complaints?

richard kirkcaldy | 06.04.2003 11:34

bounces from complaints department

this morning i emailed  complaints@bbc.co.uk to complain about their coverage of the problems in southern iraq with water supplies. their description of people reselling water at high prices was described as anarchy rather than the capitalism which it sounded like.
however, the response was less than satisfactory. all i got was an error message, "user unknown". ignoring complaints? that's not something a decent station would do is it?

you could try  info@bbc.co.uk but I have and you just get a standard reply containing the information that they think their coverage is fair and they accept that I may not agree.

tried it

Allied idea

I have read this a week ago on some onlinenewspaper and there it said it was the alied idea to let some iraqis sell water. Easier for the allied. An arab american translater thought it was wrong since these are poor and humiliated civilans that are being punished even more.

I wish I could remember the newspapre so I could refer correctly. But I hope this will do too.

Well I emailed  info@bbc.co.uk yesterday. And I've only just got an automated response.
It does have an issue number though, so maybe it will be looked into...
