Today at 12:30 about 20 anti-war protestor staged a die-in next to the gate of the SUN offices, Virginia Street (near Tower Hill). The protestors from Student action against the war were laying down amidst SUN newspapers daubed in blood. George Galloway recent target of the Murdoch Propaganda machine sent a message of support.

Today about 20 anti-war protestors from the group Student Action against the War staged a bloodbath/die-in next to the main gate of the SUN offices in Virginia Street (Tower Hill).
Because of heavy police presence protestors were unable to block the gates but still made their point against the SUN war propaganda. The "dead" protestors were covered with SUN newspapers daubed in blood.
The action was meant to expose the SUN's attempts to cover up the bloodbath that has already occurred involving hundreds of innocent dead civilians as well as soldiers from both sides. Instead of reporting about the cruelty of war, the SUN is selling the war as some patriot action entertainment story with personal attacks on well recognized anti-war activists like George Galloway on the way.

George Galloway was contacted by Student Action against War beforehand and endorsed the action. George Galloway, MP said: "I would like to greet the students demonstrating against this blot on the country's landscape. The sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch; so patriotic that he has been a citizen of three different countries in fifteen years, a kind of serial patriotism which is the last refuge of such scoundrels. If the" dirty digger" is the chief pimp, what words can be found to describe those hirelings who write for them? The Sun lives in the sewers and sometimes ascends to the gutter. All right thinking people should eschew it and it's cancerous racist pornographic propaganda.”

Student Action is a collective of anti-war students from across London and the South East committed to direct action against the War. Meetings takes place Tuesdays at 4:30pm at ULU, Mallet Street. Check out: www.studentstopwar.org.uk

The next action is planned for Wednesday, 9th of April - meet 11:30 am at Burger King inside Charing X station.

Nice one LSE

Nice one LSE. Two days ago (Apr 1), 30 Manchester students occupied the The Sun offices in Picadilly Gardens for about 1 hour, before being roughly removed by cops (but no arrests, 'cos we'd done nothing arrestable).

These people should be starting to feel hounded. And justly so.
