2 Daisy Cutters used by US last night

reader | 03.04.2003 13:13

Today's Mirror reports that two Daisy Cutters were used last night by the US on Iraqi troops south of Baghdad. Yet there was no mention of this on today's 1pm BBC TV news.

Assuming it is true, this is a cover up. Daisy Cutters are weapons of mass destruction, second only to nuclear bombs in impact on life forms, and cause a slow and lingering death to humans and other species over a vast area.

As for the summary.

Anyone else heard about this?

I have just read this report on the mirror's website, and if true highlights the hypocrisy of the whole Iraq misadventure. We were told that the coalition was going to war to get rid of weapons of mass destruction, not to use them! Are there any other media sources which confirm the use of these obscene weapons?

A Warning to Allies

The US's attack on Iraq has an implicit threat not hotly debated. " Watch out allies" for in the next decade or two you may be the next Iraq. I would have to guess that this applies mostly to the emerging independent countries such as Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan etc.
