BBC demo still ignored

Report on Sat's BBC and city demo

Quote from your front page:

"indymedia UK is a network of individuals, independent and alternative media activists and organisations, offering grassroots, non-corporate, non-commercial coverage of important social and political issues".

Manchester Evening News and imc have ignored Saturday's lively demo in Mcr against war involving 2000 angry people and blocking Oxford road and more as well as blockading the BBC. Not impressed - Faiford fine, but that was on 22M, involved around 1000 people and was not in Manchester. No article or piccy of this significant Manchester event on front page still. Why please?

There is a report that was posted and is in the feature below the top feature of actions that happened that day. The link is in capitals and says 'STATE TV PROPAGANDA'. If there is another one it may be I missed it as it can happen. In fact, I'm sure I missed a few in the eight hours I worked that day. Why wasn't it a feature? It wasn't a feature on it's own as firstly it wasn't proposed and secondly it was one of many actions in the UK that day.

In order to propose a feature or get involved in the features process section please feel free and subscribe to the features lists.

Also prefer to keep the newswire for news

While the bbc no doubt decide what not to run, if you don't see it on indymedia it's because a) no one reported it, or b) people working on features in the middle columns missed it - either way the answer is simple - get involved!

ok andy c you do post to indy - nice one. but don't spam the newswire with complaints, why not email indy and say here's a good report of x y or z instead?
