Critical mass green power green energy no war no crap, that was the message that rang out among the critical masses that cycled thought berty-land not that he was here to enjoy it.
Starting from the garden of remembrance and working there way on. The mass of people rode down the O¡¦Connell street without a roar of a motor or plum of smoke, proving that cycle power can be more efficient than chug and grind of petrol and diesel engines.
The green power pushed on...
Wheals spinning and chains clicking, the crowd made their way over O¡¦Connell Bridge destined for the journey around the main traffic hub of Dublin city. Reaching the corner of graften street an aggressive motorcycle garda made his way through the cyclists disrupting the flow for but a moment.
The flow of new alternative traffic made it's way up Kildare Street, where it was met by a shiny silver merk rumbling and stalling its way out of government buildings.
An angry Booo rose up from the crowd as the aggressive engine roared passed the cyclists on its way to more pleasurable activities, interrupting the green flow of peace.
Waiting at the tune on to Dame Street, the traffic tumbled down as if there was no tomorrow. The lights went red for the motorist's and the real road users moved on showing the road rangers how to enjoy our city streets.
On the last stretch.. Heading towards the centre of town, lapping the city hup at rush hour, Critical mass moved back to O¡¦Connell Street where they disbanded without any police interference.
"Personally, I think the Guardie wanted to show that they had sexy babes in their forces,
as well as stone cold shaddowless bomb-planting corrupt killers that the mainstream media showed over the last few months.... Call me sexist but I like looking at sexy cycle female cops, even though they will do you at their descression.... grrrrrh..."
