Students from a number of universities in London and
the South East will protest at the offices of The Sun
on Thursday. In advance of this event, we'd like to
put together a media briefing containing information
on the following:

- Worst Sun stories on the Iraq war
- Catalogue of false stories and military briefings
misreported as fact (by The Sun or other mass media)
- Analysis of how the media war works (agenda setting,
spin techniques, etc). Summaries and quotations
drawn from academic research are particularly welcome.

If you can help, please respond asap and by 10am
Wednesday at the latest.

Thanks,

Oscar Reyes
PhD student, Essex University

the sun's worst war reporting

31.03.2003 21:01

was in my opinion the middle page:
"war babes"- naked females (blond) models with large breasts and lots of make-up, some green army net around their waist parading in front of some olive army net.

How great- that's probably the closest to truth the Sun ever got.
