Enfield Demo Sat. 29

Roughly 200 went on a demo that went much as you might expect. Walked around centre of Enfield, holding up traffic. Got lots of surprised looks on the busy High Street, including just a few pro-war shouts. That was the best bit, seeing as it is such a comfortable consumer zone, if that makes sense?
Was told to chant the usual stuff, including 'What do we want, Blair Out...' which means of course that we want the SWP in! I don't like these types of boring pointless demo's usually, but felt impelled to go because of what's going on of course and just to see what a demo in Enfield would look like. And because it was unusual it did feel quite good just to see it happen and see the reaction.
Left before rally and wished i'd had some Indymedia cards to hand out.
