It's critical that people learn about the conditions there. But you know, you only make yourself sound like a nut-case if you compare the situation to Auschwitz. Don't go over the top. That's not journalism nor activism. That's just shooting yourself in the foot.
Get a grip and present information in a way that's not hyperbole. 1.5 million people were exterminated in Auschwitz. There's a big difference.
Like laksjdf I am a little suspicious of this post also: particularly given its reposting across the Indymedia network. Guantanamo Bay is certainly a 'concentration camp', on the model of those the British initiated in the Boer War. There is physical and psychological torture being used. But there are not, to my knowledge, gas chambers and crematoria, nor medical experiments Mengele style, so the comparison is foolish, so foolish indeed that one does wonder if laksjdf is not in fact correct in suggesting that the aim of the posting is to discredit Indymedia.
