Esso Picket in Todmorden, West Yorkshire

Activists from Greenpeace and Calderdale Against the War successfully shut down the Esso petrol station in Todmorden on Saturday morning.

Following the successful blockade of Esso sites in Halifax onthe day war began, the police advised the operators to close the station.

Due to shortage of numbers (demos in Leeds, Manchester and York on the same day), it was only an hour before the station reopened.

We intend to stage another picket at the Todmorden garage on the evening of Thursday 10th April, from 6pm. Plese come along if you can.
