Cycled from Waterloo Bridge into Central London, with friendly police presence mainly on push bikes, but occasionally motorised. Got many happy honks, waves & smiles from motorists, and were cheered on by most of walking public. Only unfriendly gesture was hurling of big black bin for no apparent reason. Attack launched by bloke in business suit, possibly alcohol-induced, maybe car-salesman? Friendly police presence took care of him. Sign of progress when police are actually on the side of demonstrators…

Did a few laps of Parliament Square, good to see the anti-war protesters there going strong. Cheered eachother on for a while then set off again.

At the junction of Marylebone Rd and Park Crescent large posse of rollerbladers cut across from Regent’s Park, so we hooked up with them until they went speeding off in a different direction.

Good vibe all the way, look forward to next month’s rally.
