"The aim of the action will be to 'degrade the service' of the UK Prime Minister's
and the US President's offical web sites. These two sites will be used to provide 'official' justifications for military action in Iraq.
In our view, and the parlance of Bush and Blair, these are legitimate targets because they will be used
to spread misinformation and half-truths about the action in Iraq."
That might sound simple, but it is not. It will take tens of thousands of participants acting online, around the same time, and across time zones, for this to work. But the idea is that large numbers of the general public can together to stop-up the official electronic mouthpieces of the major powers behind the war."
There are two ways:
A Java program can be downloaded and run on your computer. This is the most effective way to take personal action.

For those unsure, or unable to run the Java program there's a web page, but it is preferred if people could download the tool and run it from their own machine.

Are you for freedom or not? If you are then you must accept that many people, with power or without it, are going to disgree with your point of view and say things that you consider to be dangerous, immoral, incorrect or just plain nasty.
Denial of service attacks should not be considered a legitimate tool to silence such people. Denial of service = denial of free speech.
the best way to 'attack' those who say things you do not like is present you own alternative view - which is what site's like Indymedia are all about.
You and I might hate to hear pro-war 'news' and US/UK propaganda, but that's just tough. We have to hear it and we have to refrain from fascits acts like Denial of Service attacks. If you don't like what you hear, say so. That is the only right way to go about it.
**In my opinion** ;-)
