Ken Livingstone plans to erect a statue in Trafalgar Square, alongside those of former Britons which will amount to nothing less than a defilement of this popular meeting place and globally reknowned locus for protest and celebration.
LIVINGSTONE PLANS TO DEFILE TRAFALGAR SQUARE
The Marxist Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone plans to erect a statue in Trafalgar Square, alongside those of former Britons which will amount to nothing less than a defilement of this popular meeting place and globally reknowned locus for protest and celebration.
"Trafalgar Square" is not just any London address, it is quite rightly seen as the real geographical and also the psychological centre of Britain's capital city, a focal point and a place ingrained in the collective mind of Britons; abroad and at home, as being the centre of all things "British"
Statues have been built for millenia to commemorate great men and women. The statues we find today in Trafalgar Square celebrate the noble and heroic deeds of some of our foremost warriors and statesmen. Those men who risked life and limb in the service of their country. In the case of the central statue, surmounting a 145ft high pillar, is a 15ft sculpture commemorating the man who gave his very life in a battle that subsequently gave its name to the square. Nelson died aboard HMS Victory on the afternoon of October 21st 1805, knowing that his fleet had won the day against the combined French-Spanish navy, securing for all time the dominance of the British Navy.
Surrounding the central pillar of this popular national hero are statues of less well-known individuals such as Sir Henry Havelock, the Victorian "Christian soldier" and hero who broke the siege of Lucknow, and Sir Charles James Napier, soldier and administrator, born just yards from his statue in Whitehall in 1782, and Governor of the Indian province of Sind. Fronting the north wall of the Square are busts of Beatty, Jellicoe, both naval heroes of the First World War's Battle of Jutland and Cunningham, a hero of the Second World War. In the north east corner, is a statue of King George IV on horseback.
Alongside this pantheon of noble British leaders "Evil Red Ken" wants to erect a statue of a man who is a convicted terrorist, an African campaigner against European ideals and who isn't even British!
Ken Livingstone has many selfish reasons to destroy British identity in London.
Then again it is clear "Evil Red Ken" doesn't like such military figures, he doesn't like the echoes of former Empire and wants to eradicate any connection between today's cityscape and the British Londoners whose fathers and grandfathers survived the Blitz and who are forced by law to pay council taxes to pay for Red Ken's £102,000 salary. "Evil Red Ken" knows that White Britons are an increasingly endangered species in the capital and he looks to the the diversity of "New Londoners" who speak "over 80" languages and are from "over 120" nations for his electoral support.
For that very practical reason to ensure his re-election and to satisfy his warped Marxist views, Livingstone wants to raise £400,000 to commission a bronze statue of former ANC terrorist Nelson Mandela. Such a sum is a drop in the ocean for the very influential and very wealthy circle of media "luvvies" such as Richard Attenborough (unbelievably now "Lord" Attenborough... how depraved such a title has become). Evil Red Ken is assured the funds to commission such a hideous addition to the centre of all things British and it is clear that Mandela, the man who recently visited Scotland and gave moral support to the Algerian terrorist, now locked away in Barlinnie Gaol, on the outskirts of Glasgow, who was responsible for the destruction of PanAm Flight 207, otherwise known as the Lockerbie Bomber will be given "equal status" to the very real heroes of our history.
How much more indignation can our people endure. Ken and his ilk must be rejected at the polls this May. Every British voter has the very real ability to make real change on May 1st.
