MP3s of impromptu samba band wanted...

Does anyone have any mp3s of the impromptu samba band that formed in Hyde Park on Saturday? I saw lots of people recording it - it would be nice to get hold of a copy...

if it was the same band - this one I'm talking about was the ultimate in anarchist samba!

It started with my mate James playing his jembe all the way down the march and attracting other drummers on the way. It ended with about 30 people in hyde park making lots of noise and having fun! Lots of lone drummers coalescing into a huge band!

I don't know what happened to it later on 'cos I had to go home...

Hiya! The Oxford St band were a coalition of already present hand drummers (and other interestin drums I never seen before) and escaped rhythms of resistance peeps from the Fairford coaches. It was fun! The Hyde park posse I beleive were members of rhythms of resistance who had played on the stw march, and their assorted mates. (the band split into two, so we could do both events)

but as to yer original query - dunno about any recordings cos I wasnt at the Hyde park one! Anyhow, I agree, twould be good to have any recordings, so anyone with some can contact us thru this address

...there were probably heaps of drumming groups out there actually. The Hyde Park one that Rhythms took part in was mainly samba drums but with others too, and had a bunch of capoeira going on in the middle, if that helps with identification. Hope u get the recording you want (and not some bunch of pushy imposters!)
