Great idea. As well as dealing with national stuff this would presumably have a more specific local focus (North East? Whole of Northern England?) Would this need new premises or is there space available already? What's the plan for moving this forward? Hold some kind of meeting?
I'm trying to get together as many people as possible beofre we set out to do something like this, we'll have to organise into a group and then start planning.

The social and resource centre aims to host a newcastle indymedia site. There will be free computer access, we hope. A separate linux collective, also setting up in Newcastle, may take on the techie side of it. Contact us for up to date info.
