Photos and brief description of 22nd March 2003 when the british police effectivly kidnapped 3 coaches full of protestors heading towards RAF Fairford

You may have read on indy media this report already, I’ll briefly sum it up now, but if you want to hear exactly what happened pls search for it. My intention is to link to my photos of the day.

On Saturday 22 March 2003 3 coaches full of protestors left from London, Euston to join the CND organised protest at RAF Fairford, from where Americans B52s are flying straight to Iraq. Just before we arrived in Fairford the police pulled all coaches over, announced a section 60, searched and videoed every single one of us, took away any dangerous articles (helmets, scarfs, mats, a bag of 1 inch toy plastic soldiers, masks, etc.) 2 hours of searching later, the police chief came aboard the coach and announced we were not allowed to go to the protest, and we were escorted back to London. With about 7 riot vans and a couple of bikes as escorts to the 3 coaches, the police decided to block all lanes of the M3 motorway back to London, so we managed to cause a whole tailback without even trying! We were not allowed to turn off at any junction or service station, and none of us had access to the toilet for about 5 hours. Some girls resorted to relieving themselves in Tupperware dishes. There was no legal basis for this, we had effectively been kidnapped.
