I was actually indifferent to the war in Iraq, untill I saw the 'after dark' programme and watched the attitudes of snooty, stuck up, stuffy binky old boy securocrats and smug smirking pro war US hawk snobs towards Ken. Sniggering at Ken for being only a foot soldier, 'how dare he turn anti-war and question his superiors', they continued to try and undermine this brave highly trained once dedicated soldier. This man served his country loyally and that was the treatment he got. He fought bravely in the last gulf war to protect people like that and this is the way they treat him. It was really sad to watch, and exposed the attitudes of the military echelons who are running this war, and using men like Ken to do their dirty work. Then washing their hands of them and belittling them. Ken was lucky to return with his health and faculties intact, and now dedicates his life to perserving life instead of taking it. Ken has renounced his american citizenship in protest at the war, and went to Iraq as part of the human shield campaign.

Oh good, so I wasnt the only person who saw it! O'Keefe shows us what it means to be a good compassionate human being,and everything he says is from the heart with complete honesty. As for those sniggering bastards on that show, well he who laughs last, laughs best.
