Juggling is about peace, harmony, chaos, freedom, movement, meditation, carnival, and joy. It is a powerful form of human enjoyment as we join the patterns we weave with wider patterns of universal rhythm. The patterns of the balls, the many colours of humanity, and the organic interconnectedness of life flow in one great dance.

There is an ancient Chinese legend about a leader routing an army by standning in front of the mighty opposing horde and juggling, which so astounded the troops that they turned and fled. I feel that jugglers world wide should stand up for peace in our violent world, and use our powers of magic and carnival on the side of humanity against the generals of armageddon and war. If anyone is interested in meeting to discuss this under the possible banner of Jugglers Against War (JAW) at the British Juggling Convention in Brighton (10th-13th April) and possibly carry out some peace actions please contact me below or see me there.

If anyone knows of any other existing juggling-peace groups I would be interested in hearing about them and linking up. The only group doing something like this that I know of is the marvelous Clowns Without Borders, who go to war-torn areas to bring joy back to childrens shattered life (such as Kosovo and Chiapas).
