Fairford - info

Listen carefully at Fairford...

Just saw on TV news preparations at Fairford that loudspeakers around the base were playing Elvis tunes today. And other preparations were being made for tomorrow (sat)

Possible that the speakers are to drown out the demo so that protestors don't damage the morale of the military, or that loud music will prevent protestors communicating with each other, or that VERY loud audio will encourage people to leave as it becomes unplesant.

SO bring ear-plugs.

Damaging Morale

Is it your intent to damage the morale of the military service personnel? I hope not. That would not be very peaceful of you. They don't make the decisions, you know. I understand, though, it is easier to bother them than government leaders. So what the hell if you ruin their morale and they get killed or mistakenly kill someone who is innocent due to lacking mental and emotional condition? You can still feel good that you were able to show some hatred to someone, even if it wasn’t the right guys. You're the "peace" movement. You can.

If you are concerned about damaging the morale of the military personnel then will you also be concerned with the loud music being used to demoralise the protestors or the bombers demoralising the people of Iraq with weapons of destruction?
Basically people have tried demonstrating to the 'political' leaders and they are ignoring public and world opinion.
