At 8.30am this morning, student activists blocked off the entrance to the Keele University campus, near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The blockade lasted barely 10 minutes before campus security came to remove it, but it lasted long enough to catch people who were going to early morning lectures. Even after the blockade was gone, we were still able to hand out leaflets to passing cars, and we slowed traffic down considerably, which made everyone aware of the events unfolding in Iraq.

I was at keele this morning and i have to say it was a very effective action, even after security moved us out of the road we continued leafletting and recieved much support. Keele followed up with a meeting @campus' centre; many were seen to shed a tear when people spoke to the assembled to tell us why they were against the war. The government is committing a war crime in our names.
