What choice is there?

What choice does Saddam have exactly?!

I don't support his regimes or anything, and I do think action needs to be taken against him, but I am still anti-war.

Reading the BBC news website it details Bush's ultimatum that was given at 0100 today:

"Saddam Hussein and his sons must leave Iraq within 48 hours. Their refusal to do so will result in military conflict, commenced at time of our choosing."

Looking to events later in the day at 1743, it emerges that the White House will commit US forces to enter Iraq even if Saddam Hussein obeyed the order to leave.

So what choice does the poor guy have here?! If he stays then Iraq will be bombed/nuked/bombarded/sieged etc... and if Saddam retaliates, America will effectively nuke the entire country. If Saddam does leave the country then America will still invade, so what are the benefits. Even if he does leave America will hunt him down for crimes against humanity anyway so...

N.B. I think its an interesting point that the United States of America is the ONLY country in the world to ever use nuclear weapons for military applications during the enitre history of their existance - doesn't that say something to you?!
