Gibson Family Under Fire for Anti-Semitism.

LOS ANGELES — Mel Gibson and his parents are under fire today from a leading Jewish group for reportedly anti-semitic impulses in the former's new film and the latter's denial that Al Qaeda executed the Sept. 11 attacks.
The actor's father, Hutton Gibson, told The New York Times he flatly rejected that the terrorist group led by Usama bin Laden had any role in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon Sept. 11.

"Anybody can put out a passenger list," the elder Gibson told The Times.

"So what happened? They were crashed by remote control."

He and the actor's mother, Joye Gibson, also told The Times that the Holocaust was a fabrication manufactured to hide an arrangement between Adolf Hitler and "financiers" to move Jews out of Germany to the Middle East to fight Arabs.

"Go and ask an undertaker or the guy who operates the crematorium what it takes to get rid of a dead body," Hutton Gibson told The Times. "It takes one liter of petrol and 20 minutes. Now six million?"

Said Joye Gibson: "That weren't even that many Jews in all of Europe."

Rabbi Marvin Hier, head of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, shot back.

"To bigots and antisemites, no amount of evidence of scientific proof is ever enough. In their world, only hate matters."

The comments from the Gibson family come just after the actor built a church in near Malibu that caters to a revisionist version of Catholocism. According to The Times, the church has a congregation of 70, including the star of such films as "Braveheart" and "Conspiracy Theory."

Mel Gibson, a devout Catholic, is directing and co-wrote an upcoming movie "The Passion," rooted in a theological movement known as Catholic traditionalism that seeks to return the faith to its pre-1962 period, before the Pope issued what is known as Vatican II, a series of proclamations that did away with the notion that Jews were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus.

"If the new film seeks to undo that," Hier told The Times, "it would not be uncovering truth. Rather, it would unleash more of the scurrilous charges...directed against the Jewish people, which took the Catholic Church 20 centuries to finally repudiate."

What?

13.03.2003 12:03

Huh? So Mel Gibson's dad seems to be a typical far right US nut..so what? What has that got to do with Mel Gibson? Why is that somehow connected to (a pig ignorant description of) his religious beliefs?
Vatican II was not 'issued' by the Pope! It was a akin to a AGM of the Catholic Church which modernised the liturgy and updated the Theology in some respects. No new bits of doctrine were proclaimed.
Neither has Gibson started up his own church..an act which would see him excommunicated for...its easy for liberals to take pot shots at Christianity in way they would not with islam..but at least try to get the facts right!

Quote: 'take pot shots at Christianity in way they would not with islam'

You have to be kidding! There's plenty of IMC posters who can hardly contain their frothing-at-the-mouth hatred when Muslims are mentioned. Frankly loopy terms like 'Islamofascist' or 'Muslim Nazi' are regularly used and not deleted.

Holocaust denial

13.03.2003 21:31

To call the holocaust a fabrication is bigoted nonsense, though to assert that the actual extermination was a device to be used to create The State of Israel is not.
Nor can charges of anti-semitism be used time and again to justify the behaviour of Nazi-simulator Sharon and his government and the IDF.
Gibson senior, whilst apparently deluded in thinking Latin Catholic liturgies somehow represent the truth, is cerainly more perceptive about the methods employed to perpetrate the WTC attacks.
One bad opinion doesn't have to negate another truth.

In defense of Mel Gibson and his Movie, "The Passion."

I believe that Mr. Gibson will shoe what happened 2,003 years ago to Jesus. this does anot comdemn the Jews. Jesus was a Jew himself. The did not recognize him as the Messiah. I probably would not have either. For the beaufiful Jewish people of today to be offended....I am sorry, that is not my intentin, and I am sure not Mr. Gibson's intentin. I love all people, Jesus love all people. We all belong to God and God belongs to us all. Jesus, to us Christians IS GOd, the second person of the Trinity. If you do not believe that, that is okay. God loves all of us....does not want any of us to suffer, wants all of us to protect one another...

The point that a certion section of people helped Pilate condemn Jesus, is no sin, it simply history. None of us would have done anything different if we had been there.

May God have merch on all Mankind...He loves and forgives all of us.

Concern

20.02.2004 19:57

I find the revelations from the Gibson family very worrying. As a Catholic I am obviously very concerned as to the implications regarding that the Vatican may have have been misled by the Zionist's. I am also concerned as to who was behind the 9/11 events. I have a number of very devout Islamic friends who have expressed ideas that Mossad may have been behind this.

Please keep me updated as to future news.

Yours in Catholocism and in Truth for Humanity
