Tottenham Project for West Indian Reform

PWIR | 11.03.2003 23:30

Info on a new project for black people living in London.

FOCUSING ON THE MODERN AFRO-CARIBBEAN PROBLEM

Nick Griffin on Voluntary Repatriation

"Perhaps among the West Indian community, where there are problems and a breakdown of family life, where there are drugs and crime and a rejection of our way of life - it maybe that many of them would like to go back and be helped to start a business and get their kids into decent schools where they can be punished if they do something wrong, unlike in our schools."

We are a new committee from multicultural Tottenham, North London consisting of concerned parents and residents. Our campaign was discretely formed owing to the huge Afro Caribbean element in the area and its impact upon youth culture and street crime.

In cosmopolitan areas across the UK, black influence has the strongest grip upon white Britons and other ethnic groups, manifesting in a culture that alienates anyone without black credentials. For some reason, modern nationalist organisations who claim to address these problems tend to overlook the street-level concerns of those living in the inner-city areas. It is up to us, the people who see things at a grass-roots level to band together and not be afraid to address the true sources of the problem. When talking of subjects like mobile phone theft, drugs and degeneracy, we can no longer afford not to point the finger and yes, discriminate if necessary!

Our idea of "reform" is not about changing black people, but socially altering the damaging factors that hold them back as well as the British way of life. Our schools, the media and black representatives need to work together for effective social reform even if it means a racial / cultural segregation to benefit all parties.

The word on the street is black. Youth from white and Asian backgrounds have lost their identity and cling desperately to R&B, Gangsta Rap and a strange lingo that was never theirs.

We are a social/cultural initiative to help redeem the forgotten and subjugated minority that governments have overlooked.
