Anarchist movements links to organised crime
Harlequin | 11.03.2003 09:15
Where does the money come from to support websites like this, to fund illegal street parties to print tens of thousands of spoof newspaper for distribution at Mayday and anti-events. To organsie massive anti-capitalist protests like Seatle, Genoa and Prague. Obviously these things are funded by organised crime!
The anarchist movement claims to be leaderless but it has a hidden leadership someone has to make the decisions, someone has to decide what goes in anarchist pamphlets someone has to oversee the organising of massive anarchist events. This hidden leadership also overseas funding. Money for anti-capitalist events doesn't come out of thin air. So obviously the money is coming from organised crime rackets and the hidden leadership of the anarchist movement have links with Britains top criminal gangs.

... and they use the internet!

Yes, of course the anarchist movement is financed by evil secret forces, and what's worse, not only in Britain, but world wide! And you may have realised that anarchists tend to live in luxury villas, travel all the time, feed on caviar and champagne if they don't have babies for breakfast and always wear the hippest designer clothes. Let alone that suspiciously many of them have mobile phones! And - pssssst - they use the internet!
Enough evidence for a deeply worrying conspiracy! Lucky that there are decent citizens like H. to make us all aware of it.

my personal opintion is that it's about 50% rich philantropists who genuinely believe in social change and about 50% hard work through benefit gigs selling che chevara t shirts etc.
you can also look at the example of chumbawumba giving money to indymedia
Bullshit like this so get across some interesting information
You are right in that the lack of transparency does make our movement seem strange or unrealitic from the outside. But then as a pretty oppressed movement, some degree of keeping things underground and not presenting financial structure that could be attacked only seems sensible.
Also let's face it, it would be pretty hypocritical to be against big banking and then have a hugely sucessful public marketing and merchandising department. Wouldn't you think?

And has he ever read an anarchist pamphlet? High production values are not their standpoint.
Fucks sake, if there was a single, united movement then we would have overthrown capitalism by now!
Instead we have the same ol' same ol' "Popular Judean Front" style splits and squabbles. Jeez, this is so obvious.
Finally, O idiot harlequin, WHY would the Mafia, or some such, even bother to fund a bunch of scruffy anarchs?
Mafiosi are not known for their left wing views, and indeed are most usually hired by the likes of the CIA and other reactionary forces to kill/intimidate legitimate dissent.
When the Cuban revolution occured, the Mafia lost Cuba.
Organised crime is just capitalism with the gloves off. It is not a friend of the revolutionary.
Grow up and piss off harlequin, I don't even think you're a spook any more. I just think you're thick.

the millions it took to organise mayday (banners and some footballs) came out of my pockets.
i think capitalism is built on greed and exploitation, as an organised crime chief, i find these values repulsive.
i'd have got away with it too if it wasn't for the detective genius we know as harlequin
