For those who don't know the Sparticists are one of the few remaining old-style bolshevik groups still operating in the UK. Its not that their history is revisionist its that they see nothing wrong in the hideous crimes agianst humanity commited Stalin or any of the other soviet leaders. Surely the anniversary of Stalins death is a time for us to look at what went wrong and how a popular revolution led to such bloody regime.
I know most 'socialist' groups still deny that Lenin was anything other than a visionary, humanitarian and geniunely lovely all round bloke, but that's beside the point. His own murderous record is another debate, but I thought the Stalin one was finally over.
Indymedia should no more be promoting these people than the fascist parties. The authoritarian parties of both left and right have no place on this forum, just because they seem small and irrelavent now is no reason to tolerate them.
These people support as much murder and torture by the state as necessary so long as it claims to be in the peoples name, even as in the case of Soviet Russia it clearly is not. The Bolsheviks killed more genuine revolutionaries both in Russia and around the world than has single regime as well as crippling debate and evolution within the global left. We must learn from history.

Is it just me or were Trotsky and Stalin not exactly best firends?
If not, why would a trotskyist group be supporting Stalin?
Maybe you should be more careful before defining those you disagree with as Stalin supporters...
