The Pope has already formally denounced the proposed war, calling it
a defeat for humanity, and also has sent his top spokesperson.
However, to stop the war, he now must take a historically
unprecedented action of his own and travel to Baghdad. The Pope's
physical presence in Iraq will act as the ultimate human shield,

It is high time he show practical interest in causes other than his favourite single issue.
And it will make him look less of a CIA stooge and even get the funds from them to be cut off!!!
It is all very easy sitting on one's holy bum dispensing "words of wisdom".
Buddhism is in the doing...

I've already written to the Pope. I know he's old and infirm, and it would be a tremendously brave thing to do (would we do it?) but it would work.
If he went and stayed in Baghdad as a "human shield there would be no war.
