Move UN out of America if USA attacks Iraq!

Mandella Einstein | 05.03.2003 12:54

Why should USA get economic benefits of housing world diplomats as they shred UN charter?

If the United States shows its contempt for international law, and breaks it like Nazi Germany did when it attacked Poland, the international community should move the UN to another country. Germany might be a good place to move UN, since USA is economically punishing them for their pacifist stance on Iraq by removing troops. By moving the UN, this might help prevent the NSA from bugging other countries' diplomats, and also punish USA for its arrogance. Why should the USA get the economic benefits of housing world diplomats as they shred UN charter?

The United States is not defying the UN!

The United States is not defying the UN it is trying to get the UN to enforce international law by getting to make Saddam Hussein obey resolution 1441 which he agreed to at the end of the last Gulf War. If Saddam refuses to disarm then the USA is quite within its rights to invade Iraq and disarm Iraq by force as resolution 1441 already gives it the right to use force should Saddam refuse to disarm! The only country defying international law is Iraq by its refusal to abide by resolution 1441!

Harlequin, look I think your bosses in the security services really need to get a sharper man/woman on the job-- you are just not up to it: you are simply too dim. They should put you back on the beat.

to begin with,
(1) Resolution 1441 was not passed at the end of the last Gulf War

(2) Resolution 1441, which had to be very weak to pass the Security Council last autumn, only has warns Mr Hussein that the Security Council will invoke serious consequences if he fails to disarm.

(3) Resolution does not provide the licence for the United States, without the demand of the Security Council to invade, nor to set up a colonial administration in Iraq. HOWEVER MANY TIMES BUSH AND BLAIR REPEAT THIS IT WILL NOT MAKE IT MORE TRUE, NOR WILL IT PERSUADE ANYONE. It was specifically worded NOT to include text to that effect (even though Britain and the US would have liked it in last autumn)

(4) The United Nations charter gives 'self-defence' as the only legitimate justification for a war; the Security Council may if it wishes raise a force in the interests of collective security, but there is no legal sanction for the unilateral enforcement (by whim of iUS foreign policy). Pre-emptive war is, according to the Nuremberg trials, a war crime.

USA=UN

The UN has become if it wasn't before the UnitedStates Nations commitee;

Whose goals include;

The bringing together of all nations to create a world working for the basis of international American domination.

To create a process for the coming together of nations whishing to have wars. We will call this the 'peace process' and they'll never suspect a thing.

To introduce freedom to the world; we will open up new freedoms to your country such as the ability and sheer freedom of choosing between regular and large fries.

The U.S. should form its own body; TCA( The Cowboy Alliance).

"We, with friends will go to war and liberate the world of freedom" --George War Bush.

Seriously though, the UN if it actually wants to stand for good has to stand up to the TCA.

Mandella, you don't know much about the internal politics of the US, do you?

There is a significant (minority) of the US population which actually fears the UN and wants "the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US". They would cheer.
