I thought the coming war was because of Saddam's refusal to comply with UN resolution 1441 ordering it to destroy all of its weapons of mass destruction which Saddam agreed to as part of the ceasefire agreement at the end of the last Gulf War!

If Saddam agrees to comply with resolution 1441 or if he steps down and goes into exile there will be no war! The onoly person pushing the world towards war is Saddam Hussein himself by his refusal to co-operate with the UN!

Sure the war would help israel/zionists,with their plans.

The war will probably help Israel etc, but that doesn't mean Israel is controlling the US or anything. Israel is US's regional policeman, and Iraq will be another one probably after they set up a puppet dictatorship.
