Certainly, knocking stupid posts like this is required, after all indy media isn't a site for advertising trumpted up hippie shit.
But at the same time, the last time before now, where there could have been a change in the world order, was the 60's.
They didn't succeed, but then we should learn from them, not ridicule.
I'm a punk, and although I feel that at times our scenes DIY ethics are (r)evotlutionary(?!!) I am under no illusion that we have any ability to change the world.
Yes we do need more direct action, but hippie community values are good, and communes can work.
As an anarchist what kind of society are you working towards? Anarcho primitivism? If so, still you can't diss the people who have come close to living like that.
I saw a woman in London, on 15 feb, carrying a picture of herself at an anti-war rally from what I assume was the sixties.
She was stood facing a line of police, all suite and booted ready for action, she was stark naked, and holding out a flower.
It was a powerful image, different to burning streets in genoa, and flying rocks and tear gas in Prague, but no less powerfull or revolutionary.
Maybe instead of critizing each others tactics, we should complement each others movements.
After all freedom and autonomy is what we (or at least I myself) are working for.
Cheers.
