Monday 3rd March

Protestors from in and around Worthing (West Sussex) gathered today outside Worthing town hall with a symbolic number of twenty.
The protestors once again made their political point to local journalists about how they felt democracy was not being respected on the part of Tony Blair, who they say is acting as a “mini-me” of George Bush.
With tension for war rising and opposition growing, protests are becoming commonplace around here. As one spokesman Gerald Clarke aged 65 said: “we feel the ongoing American imperialist attitude towards the world, and that Tony Blair is acting in hawkish way by defending George Bush’s policies on his so called “Axis of evil”.
The people of Worthing and indeed the nation are increasing pressure on the Government to take peaceful action and to respect international law; if they do not…politicians like Tony Blair are doomed to political suicide. Whatever the outcome of today’s protest, peace activists, Trade unionists, students…will make sure the country grinds to a halt if this country does declare war, and they will do so in a way that will mark world history!
