Around 1000 anti war protestors turned out on friday 28th February in appalling weather to take the anti war message to Tony Blair and the annual conference of the Wales Labour Party in Swansea.
The Guldhall was surrounded by a and the heavy police presence and the Swansea Coalition Against The War organisers were prevented by the police from using a sound system and a small stage much to the anger and disgust of George Galloway MP who was scathing in his attack on his party leader Blair.
The Wales Labour Party was denied the opportunity of debating the comung attack on Iraq and the party is clearly split from top to bottom over the issue of Blair and his war.
The anti war coalition in Swansea will be holding an assembly for peace meeting to elect delegates to the forthcoming national peoples assembly for peace.the Swansea meeting will take place at 4pm on saturday 8th march at the Unitarian church hall in High St.All welcome
