What to do in the Event of Escatled War

Angry Mob | 27.02.2003 12:56

With the reality that accelerated genocide against the Iraqi people will begin within weeks, we put together this notice/flyer. Obviously it is not a catechism. Hopefully it will give some assistance to activists who are fed up pleading to the mass murderers in Parliament.

What To Do In The Event Of Escalated War
A few proposals: (@nti-copyright-redistribute at will!)

1)Stay Calm, (do not panic, be PREPARED)
2)Stay Positive, (despair and resignation are common ailments but can be easily avoided by following the simple procedure below)
3)Get together with close friends and family members (if they are detrimental to your well being, take the preparations yourself.)
4)Think carefully what you can best achieve, (what can you do that will affect your personal morale and the attitudes around you to the escalated war?)
5)If attending protests, the aim should be to directly confront the status quo and not be a part of it. Most protests are, unfortunately, by their very nature anti-revolutionary, they are safety valves aimed at appealing to the rulers. Unless subverted by revolutionary elements, i.e. used to directly attack the ruling ideology (passivity) and capitalisms concrete forms.
6)A priority is to take direct action in your own town or city. The economy is God, its life blood oil, no economy, no war. (Learn economic sabotage, start small, practice, get confident and hit them hard and often. Check out the web-sites below)
7)Vitally you have nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear for the paltry consequences that, if we fuck up, may apply to us, is insignificant considering the horrendous onslaught against all life happening due to the continuance of this society. If we don’t destroy this society then this society will continue to destroy this planet and all life on it.
8)Get active, by yourself or with close trusted people. Keep your mouth shut, bragging will get you caught. If you sit back (or march!) and follow their rules then you are directly responsible for the devastation reeked by this society. It’s your choice.

direct action

27.02.2003 19:13

direct action yes, we need it, but no point attacking marchers or "lesser" protestors. Just cos some people aren't willing to join you at the barricades doesn't make them your enemies. Inspire them, show them that you are like them, share the same aims and fears, and that they in time, may follow your example. the corporate media and police are constantly seperating protestors into too camps- the "well behaved peaceful" and the "intent on causing trouble" if we allow this divide and rule tactic to work, then the radical minority will remain a minority. There are thousands of people who may never go out on the streets, but perhaps they make small financial donations to their favourite pet charity, or greenpeace or whatever- they are our allies.. stop slagging them off.

other than that- if you're going to damage shops and businessess concentrate on the worst first- mindless damge plays into the hadns of the enemy, allows them to present us as thugs using politics as an escuse to smash stuff- concentrate on the companies with bad human rights records, those that serve the military industrial complex etc- looting your local corner shop is not fighting for freedom and justice...
