Anyone who knows anything about computer security knows that it would be
easy to plant child porn on someone's computer. They tried to smear Scott
Ritter with trumped up pedophilia charges too! Pete Townsend - well known
for his anti-war / establishment views. Am I just being paranoid or is
this a real possibility?

Remember that this rash of pedophile arrests was sparked by US intelligence
passing our police approximately 6000 names of people to investigate...

I have to confess I don't know much about Townsend's current politics - I was just going on my knowledge of the Who rebel rocker he once was:

"Won't get fooled again..."

As to whether I was on the US smear hit list - I don't know yet, I'm still waiting for the midnight knock...

Seriously though, the thing that got me thinking about all this was the Scott Ritter case - he was one of the most vocal and influential opponents of the war-party and they dragged out an old accusation of pedophilia (of which he was cleared in court) to smear his name leading to Fox News headlines such as:

"Traitor exposed as pedophile..."

This has virtually destroyed his ability to get air-time in the US. Another voice of reason is silenced...

shows how celebrity status is part of the suppresion kit.
people like rock stars and others are used as symbols of success to give us idols and role models.
If and when they want to they can tarnish the by now high profile always in the paper name and use it against us.
Bono, Sting and other big names are used for political purposes all the time. after all they are Lefties.
It also provides a lesson to "the movement" we don't need leaders or high profilers, they are easily corrupted or have their names run through the shite .

...not forgetting, now that townshend actually admitted visiting such a website, though he claims it was for legitimate research. This rules out the possibility of a stitch up in this case, I suggest, as the issue is not whether he visited the site but whether he had moral/legal grounds for doing so.
I don't doubt that, generally speaking, this is just the sort of thing that the establishment would do to a target by way of character assassination, but let's try and think a bit before making ourselves look daft, eh?
