Two Anti-War activists were arrested in Plymouth after a protest in the city. They have been released on bail. Does the government think that sending police to arrest protester will silenced the Anti-war movement? They are wrong!

Two anti-war protesters were arrested in Plymouth after a demonstration in the city. The governement could not arrest the almost 2 million people protesting in London but they think they can do it this way. Let's let them know they are wrong. We have a right to protest and they would not intimitate us into supporting their war! Letter of arrested protester bellow. And if you are in Devon, remember, big protest on March 15th, come and make some noise!. "Hi Had 400 on an anti-war march through Plymouth centre yesterday, including a sit-down protest on the main road. I was arrested along with Pete Heddle and charged under Section 12 of the Public Order Act, due to appear in Plymouth Magistrates court on Wednesday 26th at 10:30am. It is possible that this represents a tightening of policing of anti-war activity. I need to have a support campaign activated quickly, as ParliamentaryCandidate for Plymouth Socialist Alliance, Secretary of Plymouth TUC and Chair of Plymouth City UNISON. If I am convicted it is likely I shall lose my job. This is an opportunity for a defend Peace Protests, No Justice, No Peace campaign, but needs to be enacted quickly. Any help gratefully received. Messages of support to Plymouth UNISON, 190 Armada Way, Plymouth PL1 1LD, email plymouth-city@unisonfree.com In the meantime we publicised the 15th March and will be there! Stay in touch. Tony Staunton"
