Two Anti-War activists arrested after an Anti-War March in Plymouth. The government is trying to intimidate people not to protest.

Two Anti-War activists from the South West were arrested after an Anti-War March in Plymouth on Tuesday and released on bail yesterday morning. We need to make noise and let the government know we wouldn't be intimitated into supporting their war!!

Bellow is the letter from one of the arrested.

"Hi
Had 400 on an anti-war march through Plymouth centre yesterday, including a sit-down protest on the main road.
I was arrested along with Pete Heddle and charged under Section 12 of the Public Order Act, due to appear in Plymouth Magistrates court on Wednesday 26th at 10:30am.
It is possible that this represents a tightening of policing of anti-war activity.
I need to have a support campaign activated quickly, as Parliamentary Candidate for Plymouth Socialist Alliance, Secretary of Plymouth TUC and Chair of Plymouth City UNISON. If I am convicted it is likely I shall
lose my job. This is an opportunity for a defend Peace Protests, No Justice, No Peace campaign, but needs to be enacted quickly. Any help gratefully received.
Messages of support to Plymouth UNISON, 190 Armada Way, Plymouth PL1 1LD,
email  plymouth-city@unisonfree.com

In the meantime we publicised the 15th March and will be there!
Stay in touch.
Tony Staunton"

They couldn't arrest the 2 million people marching in London, but they think they can do it this way and scare people off. We have the right to protest. Don't let them intimidate us.
